Do you need to rid your home of fleas?

The following techniques aid in flea removal and help them from nesting in your home in the first place:

  • Keep a clean house. Without a clean house it is nearly impossible to rid yourself of the flea problem. You are wasting your time and endangering the health of your pets when bathing your pets and then returning them to an infested environment. Fleas can flourish in the tiniest of areas, so while cleaning your home, make certain that you include all area, and give special attention to your pets bedding.
  • Fleas like rugs. Take the time to clean your rug and carpets thoroughly. This may require that you use the services of professionals.
  • Use the services of a good exterminator to get behind walls and under the foundation.

  • Make sure that your pet is properly bathed and groomed.

  • Choose a shorter hair style (if appropriate) for your pet.
  • Supervise your pet’s travel area. Visiting flea infested areas will nullify your hard work. If you have an indoor/outdoor pet, inspect all outdoor living areas and exterminate as appropriate.
